Jacobs Facelift Boosts Delivery
Service delivery in Jacobs and its surrounding areas is improving said Tim Gray, the Deputy Chairperson of the Jacobs Chamber Committee. He was speaking after the South Durban Basin Area Based Management (SDB ABM), Roads and Storm water and Durban Solid Waste departments embarked on a joint cleanup campaign in Shetland Road.

Gray said, “This was a result of the good work done by the Service Delivery Forum managed by the SDB ABM department. Over the past few years we have witnessed some progress in the delivery of services in Jacobs. “The forum has proven to be a very effective tool in ensuring that service units plan in a coordinated fashion and assist each other in speeding up the provision of services,” he said.

The Municipality has promised that the SDB ABM and service units, businesses and communities will continue to strive for the provision of quality services with a view to improving the image of the area. The public are encouraged to report illegal dumping by calling 031 311 8804
